ABOUT ME:

As a native of Columbus County, I have had the pleasure of hearing and experiencing that it takes a village to raise a child.  I grew up on a farm in the small rural area between Whiteville and Clarkton called Farmer’s Union. From a young child I was a nurturer, caring for not only the animals on the farm, but also caring for the children around me as the community babysitter.  Throughout my life, and through my previous work as a Pharmacy Technician and Instructor, I have met many people from different walks of life.  It has been a great honor to hear their stories and at times be allowed to aid them in their journey.

Through these experiences and in my own personal challenges, I have learned the importance of having support along life’s journey.  This is what led me to begin the process of becoming a Clinical Mental Health Counselor.  My desire to help others and watch them succeed in life is what drives me!  My hope is to see positive change within my clients through my work and to also see this within my community while advocating for my profession.

Life’s journey can be challenging at times, but we do not have to take it on alone.
